For women of the Sea
Baroque Pearl Pendant on Chain
This pendant is an ode to Thalassa, the primordial Greek goddess of the sea. She is the elemental mother of the ocean, and this piece is a pure, singular drop of her essence.
At its heart is a single, magnificent freshwater baroque pearl. Hand-selected for its unique, organic form and deep, radiant lustre, it embodies a profound, solitary treasure brought forth from the sea's quietest depths. Each pearl is one-of-a-kind, a testament to the wild, perfect artistry of nature.
The pearl is suspended from a delicate, gold-plated silver box chain, like a single drop of sea spray catching a ray of pure sunlight.
Lovingly handmade by the sea in our Cyprus studio, this necklace is an act of simple, timeless elegance. It is a modern heirloom destined to transcend fleeting trends, connecting you to the profound, life-giving tranquillity of the sea.
Your pearls are precious, organic gems born from the sea. Unlike harder stones, they are soft and porous, requiring gentle care to protect their beautiful lustre for generations.
The Golden Rule: Last On, First Off
Pearls should be the last thing you put on after applying all cosmetics, perfumes, lotions, or hairspray. They should also be the first thing you take off at the end of the day. The chemicals in beauty products can be harmful to their nacre (their iridescent outer layer).
After Each Wear
After you take them off, gently wipe your pearls with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. This simple step removes any traces of body oils or chemicals that can settle on their surface and dull their shine.
Safe Storage
Pearls need to "breathe" but should also be protected from scratches.
Avoid Water and Sweat
Never wear your pearl jewellery while showering, bathing, swimming, or in a sauna or steam room.
Professional Re-stringing
If your necklace or bracelet is worn frequently, the silk thread will naturally stretch and weaken over time. To keep your heirloom secure, we recommend having your pearls professionally re-strung every few years, or as soon as you notice any gapping between the pearls.
With a little mindful care, your pearls will remain a timeless and radiant part of your collection.
